My early career was in the construction industry working in the West Country and for a while in the Channel Islands, I moved into property development in the West Country 25 over years ago working for a regional property developer. I formed my own development company, Cherwyn Developments and a land promotion business in 2018, specialising in building high quality homes in more rural West Country communities. However, almost from the start the business faced significant challenges, such as Brexit, Covid, the Ukraine war and in 2020 the most significant impact; Nutrient Neutrality. In my development career Nutrient Neutrality has been the single most impactful issue affecting the delivery of new homes.
