Professor Samer Bagaeen

Technical Director, Arcadis

Professor Samer Bagaeen is a Technical Director in Town Planning & Stakeholder Capability at Arcadis in London, and previously worked as an Associate Director with the Rockefeller Foundation 100 Resilient Cities programme working directly with city leaders in Amman, Ramallah, Tbilisi, Milan, Rome, Barcelona, Byblos and Lisbon.

Samer Bagaeen is also Head of School of Town Planning at the University of the Built Environment in the UK, and Visiting Professor in Urban Resilience at Imperial College London. He has previously set up and accredited new planning schools in Brighton and Canterbury.

He was invited into Fellowship of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in 2012 and was granted Fellowship of both the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) in 2025. Samer has served for five years as Trustee of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a further five as Trustee of the Town and Country Planning Association.
